Voter registration in Illinois
These dates are for registering to vote in the November 3, 2026 general election. They are not Medicaid deadlines, and they are not Social Security deadlines.
November 3, 2026
- Regular registration closes October 6, 2026.
- Paperless online registration closes October 18, 2026.
- Grace period registration runs October 7, 2026 through Election Day, November 3, 2026. It is in person at the election authority, a polling place, or another designated site. Bring two forms of identification, and one of them must show the address.
